The Scott Plasma of 70.3 World Champion Sebastian Kienle had hidden brakes front and back, and a few other interesting details including a nifty paint scheme. This bike parked in transition at the 2014 Challenge Kraichgau however is quite different in many ways when compared to Luke McKenzie's Scott Plasma 3 race bike in Kona. Is it a cleverly covered prototype of a new bike to come from Scott?

The aero cover of the front brake and the cables is not standard on any Scott Plasma. And the bento box is new too.

With Kienle already gone we could not get more details, and would not touch the bike or helmet.

The view from above.

On a Scott Plasma 3 the rear brake sits above the chainstay, that is not the case here.

An older Shimano rear brake was standard on the Plasma 3 because it fit well in that spot above the stays. This new Shimano brake however is one that several brands use for integrated and hidden brakes.
