The Falco V of Paul Matthews

A closer look at the Falco race bike of Paul Matthews, who is getting ready for the inaugural Challenge Dubai. He and other athletes on non traditional frames learned today at the pro press briefing that with the new ITU/ UCI partnership they are now looking closer at these frames. No one was going to get denied from racing, but athletes with non double diamond frames had to submit images of their bikes to the race organization.

We also noticed his fancy new Coca-Cola kit by Endura Sport. Tim Don, Rachel Joyce and 3 Brazilian pros will sport these new team colors this weekend in Brazil, but Paul Matthews will represent Coca-Cola and his other sponsors in Dubai.

There was not too much pushing going on today, but Barny will be pushing hard on Friday morning.

The Falco V has very distinctive lines and details.

An inspirational message does not always need to be displayed in perfect riding view.

The seat pod features a Ritchey 1-bolt clamp system. Something used by several manufacturers.

Paul Matthews still uses a Bontrager RLX saddle from his Trek / K-Swiss days.

The cockpit on this Falco V is from ENVE and Matthews has Shimano components.

The deep ENVE SES wheels are laced with Continental Grand Prix 4000 S II.
