The Challenge Family announced a new Triple Crown series and very impressive $1,000,000 prize purse during the awards ceremony of the inaugural Challenge Bahrein.

His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa revealed a series of three half-distance triathlons culminating with a grand final in Challenge Bahrain in December 2015. Challenge Dubai and the newly revealed Challenge Oman will be the opening events for the Triple Crown series and offer a significant prize purse - and Challenge Bahrain will be the Triple Crown Grand Final with a stunning prize purse of US$1,000,000.

According to the Challenge Family more details about Challenge Oman and the Triple Crown qualifying structure will be announced soon, and Challenge CEO Zibi Szlufcik hinted that this announcement was just the beginning of an exciting new era in triathlon - globally.
