Eric Hinman's fly blue Dimond

Syracuse, NY resident Eric Hinman raced M30-34 in Kona and had a 9:38:59 finish. A few days before the race we checked out the custom blue Dimond race bike of this fast 5'10" tall 165 pound crossfit training athlete.

The bike of Eric Hinman was 1 of 22 who raced on the Big Island this past weekend.

The Justin Bieber Ferrari paint scheme inspired Dimond does look very sharp.

The bike is not completely without graphics, it is just very subtle.

The wind does not see much on a Dimond, but I could think of a few little touches that would make this bike even more invisible.

Hinman rides a Zipp 808 up front and usually a Zipp disc in the back, but for Kona he borrowed a Bontrager Aeolus D3 clincher rear wheel.

Hinman has a complete Zipp Speed cockpit.

And the Garmin head unit blends in nicely with the bike.

The Torhans box fits very nicely and it seems as if it was designed for this specific bike. Dimond offers mount options on the top tube for those who want it.

SRAM Force 172.5 cranks propel Hinman forward.

A Garmin Vector power meter makes sure that Hinman does not step too hard on the gas.

An ISM Adamo Racing saddle for the man from Syracuse.

An XLab Gorilla cage is fastened under the ISM saddle with an XLab Delta mount.

Hinman did not race with the Vittoria tires he had on here, he rode Continental GP 4000S ones.

We ran into Eric a couple nights before the race while he trained on Ali'i Drive.
