The Simplon MR.T2 of Per Bittner

German Per Bittner finished fourth at the 2015 Datev Challenge Roth on a brand new Simplon MR.T2 bike. Here is a closer look at this new model from the Austrian brand with an interesting blend of components. Bittner was also featured a few weeks back in our slow motion video Challenge Roth feature.

Per Bittner let us set his race bike aside during check-in to snap a few close-up images.

The cockpit of the Simplon MR.T2 is integrated into the frame.

Bittner rides with elevated arm pads and uses Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 components with one button controls on the extensions.

The brakes are hidden inside the forks in the front.

The rear brakes sit below the chainstays and behind the Quarq power meter with SRAM rings.

A Bontrager cage is mounted behind the Cobb JOF saddle with what appears to be a home made holder in that Ritchey 1-bolt saddle clamp.

Bittner's choice is a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain.
