Enve SES 8.9 clinchers - sneak

We finally got our hands on a set of Enve SES 8.9 carbon clincher wheels and before we set them up on a bike here is a first look at what arrived and out initial measurements of this high-end product.

These Enve SES 8.9 carbon clincher wheel certainly look fast and attract quite a bit attention.

The black on black graphics are an easy match for most bike paint schemes.

Tech details at the valve hole on the rear wheel.

Our set came with DT Swiss 240 hubs.

The weight of the rear wheel came in at 989 grams.

The front wheel was right at 849 grams.

All the goodies that came with the wheels are in this nice canvas bag. Wheel builder name and serial number were actually on the wheels. But this is a great place to put your name and phone number.

Here is what is inside the bag.

The Enve skewers are very nice.

Here are the brake pads that are Shimano and SRAM compatible.

Offering 4 valve extenders is a very smart and well appreciated thought.

Our front wheel measured 28mm at the thickest section of the rim and 25mm at the very outside edge. Inside measurements were 18.2mm

The rear wheel is slightly narrower with a 16.2mm measurement inside the rim and 23mm at the outside edge and 26 at the widest area.

This warranty card is attached to one of the wheels and also gives you serial numbers and builder details.
