Canadian Lionel Sanders has secured many KPR points with his 4th place at Ironman 70.3 Worlds and his Ironman Florida win from 2014 - a race that did not feature a swim leg due to dangerous course conditions. Despite spending the winter training indoors on a Computrainer back home in Windsor, Canada, a recent training camp in Tucson, Arizona gave Sanders indicators his fitness was incredibly high. One of those tests was a record setting assault up the popular mountain climb, Mt. Lemmon, in which he outpaced the previous best time put up by Pro Tour cyclist Tom Danielson. So far this year Sanders placed 3rd place at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and earned a win at Ironman 70.3 Texas in Galveston three weeks ago.
