The Orbea Ordu of Starky

Andrew Starykowicz came back after a long injury to race Datev Challenge Roth in Germany, and he scorched the bike segment with a course record 4:09:13 bike split on his brand new Orbea Ordu OMP with Shimano, Vision and TriRig components. We even have some slow motion footage of him on the bike in Roth, but here now are images from his bike setup.

After Andrew Starykowicz racked his bike, many onlookers crowded the fencing to check out the not yet publicly unveiled super bike.

After what must have felt like a sluggish swim, Starky charged hard on the bike and set a wicked pace.

A TorHans AeroZ BTA bottle system is mounted above the Vision cockpit, and that leaves a cramped space for the computer.

Orbea offers TriRig Omega X brakes on the new Ordu OMP, and that is what we found on the Starky race bike. The American rides Zipp tires on his Vision Metron wheel set.

Starky mounted the race number flush to frame, and did not use the bolt that is meant for a rear storage option.

A TorHans VR bottle is mounted to the seat tube.

Starykowicz relies on Shimano Dura-Ace mechanical shifting but appears to have a CeramicSpeed UFO chain in place.

Vision Metron 55/42 cranks for the speedy American.

Starky rides a Prologo Scratch2 CPC saddle, not the new TGale one.

A Tacx mount allows him to have a cage close under his saddle.
