The Scott of Annabel Luxford

Aussie Annabel Luxford rode a 2015 Scott Plasma 5 at the inaugural Challenge Dubai, but something looked unusual and we looked closer to check it out.

The race bike of Annabel Luxford sits in the bib #72 slot ready for action but where is the fluid nutrition storage we usually see on these bikes? It turns out the very small sized bike combined with a flat stem leaves not enough space.

Taking that integrated front nutrition Profile Design unit off is actually quite simple and this is what it looks like for those who like the bike but think they won't need or want that front storage.

Annabel Luxford shopped heavily among other Profile Design components to get nutrition and the data head unit in place.

The bento storage unit though was still in place on the top tube and was filled with Powerbar gels.

Without the steeper stem, the bento box is not quite as finished but is hidden well behind the arms when in action.

The front brake itself is hidden behind the cover on the fork.

The bike is mostly equipped with SRAM Red components, but Luxford rides a 167.5mm Shimano DA crank with an SRM powermeter.

The complete bike as it had to await another night for the pilot.
