General Information
General Information: I have 20+ years of fitting experience. My specialty is tri bikes and custom road bikes. I have done thousands of fits from beginners to world age group champs.
My focus on fitting started when with my store, Bethel Cycle where I was trained by Ben Setotta and we were one of the top custom shops in New England. My club and success in tri and du racing (4X National Champ) led to great success with triathlon fitting. My shop was the first in the country to have Guru's Dynamic Fitting System and Dan Empfield attended the Cannondale launch and FIST training.
Since 2016 I've been in Florida and formed the Trek-Segafredo Tri Team which cranked out 5 National Champs. I fit all of them along with many Kona qualifiers. I left Trek and now have my own coaching and fitting service called Pelican's Pain Cave.
My greatest strength as a bike fitter is experience. I have conducted thousands of bike fittings and since I have always been involved with huge clubs I get to see the people I fit and get ongoing feedback. I am an elite masters multi-sport athlete (4X National Du Champ, 2X Bronze Worlds) and know what works and what doesn't.
I take a holistic approach to bike fitting and apply the sound principals from, FIST, Trek and SICI I have honed over the years and developed my own "best practices."

Greg Pelican Directions: I offer fittings (by appointment only) on Saturdays at the Bike Route in Naples. It is on Rt. 41 and easy to find. Home fittings are also an option.
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
