General Information

Club Info: The Fayetteville Area Tri-Warriors is a USAT sanctioned triathlon club formed to serve athletes in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg, NC area. It was created in early 2010 with an objective of the founders to bring together the athletes of our community. The primary goal of the club is to provide moral support, mentorship, training opportunities, and a safe and healthy environment for all to enjoy this wonderful sport.

In a few short years, our club has grown from less than a dozen to over 85 members ranging from beginners to Ironman finishers. We are diverse in our ages, our backgrounds, and our ultimate goals. But what we all have in common is our drive to participate in the sport of triathlon and to improve our health and our abilities in the sport.

We welcome anyone that is interested in participating in triathlons, whether you are a veteran athlete or have never attempted a triathlon. Feel free to browse our website, send an e-mail to one of the officers with any questions you may have and/or come to one of our monthly meetings/social events. We look forward to meeting you.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
