General Information

Club Info: First Wave Triathlon is a non-profit organization in Arizona offering support, workouts, and group events to local triathlon and other multi-sport enthusiasts.
We are athletes of all ability levels and backgrounds ... sharing in a passion for multi-sport racing!
Club Sponsors: Our sponsors leaders in their industry. They are supportive and active participants in our group. They offer discounts or added benefits to our members for products and services they are already using.
Club Discounts: Our sponsors offer such benefits as markdowns taken at the register, free shipping from their online catalog, discounted membership services.
Directions to Workouts & Meeting Location(s): Meetings are held in the Northwest Glendale / Peoria area. Meetings tend to be towards the later part of each month and are posted well in advance via the First Wave Web Site
Club Workout Schedule: Workouts are Member directed and self posted to our website calendar. Members have the freedom to post any particular workout they might be doing and offer to have others join them. This approach provides diversity throughout skill and endurance levels.
Club Meetings & Events Schedule: Meetings are general scheduled towards the end of the month, during an evening in the middle of the week. They typically last a couple of hours. The meetings are geared to support members and sponsors as well as provide for a lighthearted social atmosphere.
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
