General Information
Club Info: The Atlanta Triathlon Club training program is designed for athletes of all levels (beginners to advanced) who want to train for triathlons in a group setting. Our triathlon training program includes group training activities six times a week year round with up to ten weekly training sessions available during the regular season (April- September).
The ATC coaching staff consists of individuals who are experienced in the sport and have the following credentials: 6 USA Triathlon certified coaches, 4 USA Track & Field certified coaches, 6 USA Cycling certified coaches, 2 Certified Water Safety Instructors, 36 Ironman Finishers, a professional triathlete, a 5-time All-American swimmer and multiple age group and overall race winners. We have group workouts 6 days a week during the off- season and up to ten weekly during the season (April through September) Here is the basic weekly schedule for the off-season.
Monday: Swim at Washington Park Natatorium or Mercer University
Tuesday: Short run in Buckhead from RoadRunner Sports
Wednesday: Indoor cycling at Energy Lab. Four separate sessions available for members
Thursday: 'Bootcamp for Triathletes' at Piedmont Park
Friday: Morning swim at Mercer University
Saturday: Long run at various locations/ open water swims 2x/month (during season)
Sunday: Long bike (during season) Club Meetings & Events Schedule: In addition to our group workouts, we have monthly socials, a mentor program, an Ironman program, a ParaTriathlon program, and monthly educational seminars.
