The 2011 Norseman video

We just got our hands on the official 2011 Norseman video and it has some super impressive footage. But we are not only talking about the beautiful landscape and the athletic achievements but also the unique video perspectives.

Norseman rookie and 2-time Ironman World Champion Tim DeBoom won the men's race in 11:18:52 and Susanne Buckenlei again managed to thrill the crowd with her third title in a course record time of 13:10:44. The 2011 Norseman course was a bit longer (20k to be precise) than normal with a changed swim start and thus featured the following distances.

3.8k swim / 200k bike / 42.2k run

Since its humble beginnings in 2003 Norseman has grown into a world famous event and the demand for entry slots far surpasses what is available. To remedy this situation in 2012 Norseman organizers are planning to let a total of 500 people start, versus the standard 250. There will be 2 races with 250 athletes each on consecutive days. The date sate at this time is Saturday August 4th and Sunday August 5th.

The Norseman 2012 registration will be open in mid-October. For more details check out nxtri.com
