What We Have Noticed: Atomic, Fusion ....

This week we noticed the Atomic High Performance coating, the Fusion Speed Top, a Morning Ride artwork, Michelle Vesterby's custom wrapped car and a cool underground bike garage.

Atomic coating

What: The team at Atomic Performance prepared Kristin Armstrong’s bike for the Olympic Games in London with their special coating technique of chainrings, chains, jockey wheels and cassettes and several Pro triathletes also have sought the services of this company. Among the Pros using Atomic are Leanda Cave, Timothy O'Donnell and Meredith Kessler. But you don’t have to be a Pro to experience these coated bike parts. You can either send your parts to them and they will treat them and then return them to you, or you can buy already treated parts from them. This is a trend we will likely see more often.
MSRP: $50 to coat a chainring / $150 to coat a cassette

Fusion Sports Speed Top

What: Sleeved cycling tops in triathlon have been getting lots of attention and we just noticed that Fusion Sports has a reasonably affordable offering along those lines. The Fusion team suggested that folks should wear this 3/3 sleeved top during the swim under the wetsuit, but with the full length zipper this Fusion Speed Top might not be crazy difficult to put on when still wet in T1. It has been rumored that Martin Jensen has been racing in one of these.
Sizes: S-XL
MSRP: $125

A print to enjoy

What: Kyle T Webster has an incredible portfolio of work and his work has appeared in The New Yorker, Time, The NY Times, The Atlantic, WIRED, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and The Los Angeles Times among many other publications and networks. This Morning Ride print is very nice and is available again in a variety of sizes. What is not to like about a frog on a bike? It surely would look good over your desk at work or somewhere in your home.
MSRP: $25 for size 13x17”

A very happy car

What: Danish Pro Michelle Vesterby who finished 8th at the GoPro Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii just took possession of a very cool wrapped car thanks to her new sponsorship by Carepoint Ejby, a car dealership in Ejby, Denmark. Michelle looks happy, surely her sponsors Cannondale and TYR must be happy and we are happy to see everyone happy.

Underground bicycle parking

What: In many countries around the world bicycle commuting is very popular and while many cities in those countries are accommodating, space for all these bicycles is sometimes an issue. In Japan a very clever underground parking system eliminates cluttered sidewalks and the video below shows how it works.
