Boulder, Colorado resident Sam Long is currently chasing various Strava records while cycling and running, but he is hoping that maybe by August he will be able to race his Argon 18 E-118 Tri Disc race bike in an actual race. He also stated that at the same time he has the fear that nothing might happen along those lines until the end of the year.
Currently the 6'4" Sam Long is weighing 175 pounds and that is the lightest he has been, and he thinks he could go another 1-2 pounds lower. But now let us look closer at his size L Argon 118 -E-118 how he would likely race it in Kona - with the full ENVE SES 7.8 set.
"Shown it has two bottle cages. Depending on what IM’s policy on “self-sufficiency” [is] I may run these if I have to. Ideally would skip having these on the bike," said Long.

The cockpit of Sam Long's Argon 18 is by 51 Speedshop and his Ultimate extensions are tilted 10 degrees. The shifters and brake levers are Shimano Dura-Ace and so is the bar tape. Long used zipties to fasten the cage between the 51 Speedshop extensions.
"My computer mount is nothing fancy. Just wedged onto one of the extensions. I actually like it because it is out of my view and it helps fill the gap between my arm and the extension, " said Long.

From the front there really isn't much for the wind to see with this setup and that is what Long and really anyone riding a tri bike wants.

Sam Long runs 55-39 Shimano chainrings on his 172.5mm Shimano Dura-Ace cranks with dual sided Shimano powermeter, but said he has a 58-46 setup ready for flatter courses. The pedals are also Shimano Dura-Ace.
The Shimano cassette is 11-28 and Long runs a stock Dura-Ace rear derailleur.
Sam Long's saddle is a PS1.0 by ISM and he has mounted an XLab cage under it.
