Belgian Michael Van Cleven is relatively unknown in North America but we now look at his custom painted SRAM and Zipp equipped Squad Hornett race bike - a bike we also do not see too often.

The 29 year old Van Cleven is 182 cm tall and weighs 68 kg and he rides a medium sized frame as he likes to sit compact and considers a smaller frame stiffer too.

Making sure that no one in transition accidentally jumps on this bike.

Van Cleven describes the paint scheme as follows: "Bink's Base - Uruz sign is incorporated in this logo. Uruz meaning = life force, physical health, courage, formation, healing, vigor and endurance. In the frame you can see the Uruz bull and Bink's Base logo." Bink is the nickname of Marino Vanhoenacker - his mentor, and Bink's Base is a crossfit brand in Belgium.

Van Cleven rides 175 cm cranks with a Quarq power meter. Chainrings are 55-42 and the cassette 11-28 as he is getting ready for a big climbing race in Mallorca. Derailleurs are SRAM Red Etap.

Van Cleven uses TRP brakes on his bike. Hidden under the BB for the rear wheel.

The front TRP brake on the fork is hidden behind a cover. Van Cleven uses Zipp brake pads to stop the Zipp 808 up front and the Zipp clincher disc in the back.
