General Info

General Info: Denise is USAT, USA Cycling and Road Runners Club of America certified coach and a lifelong athlete who started coaching to help show people they really can do things they never thought they could.
A competitive age-group swimmer at the state level in high school and captain of both her field hockey and soccer teams, as well as a competitive skier, Denise didn’t happen upon endurance running and triathlon later in her athletic career. But once she started, she never looked back.
From Ironman Coeur D’Alene to the Boston Marathon and everything in between, Denise has competed in triathlons of every distance and more running events than she can count. She is consistently one of the top local female runners in her age-group.
Several years ago she began sharing her passion and knowledge of running and triathlon with others. She began her coaching career leading a beginning women’s running group to its first half marathon. She conducted group workouts for the Final Kick Triathlon Club as well as transition and info clinics at Final Kick Sports and at Virginia Triathlon Series events throughout Virginia.
Her passion and enthusiasm are infectious. Denise’s experience, knowledge and support have helped athletes of all levels complete their first triathlon or marathon or earn that podium spot for the first time. Her athletes have qualified for Boston and shaved minutes off their previous PRs.
Denise is also working toward coaching certifications with USATF and USA Swimming.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
