Shop Info: Belmont Wheelworks has and continues to be one of the premier bike shops and fit studios in the nation. Bicycle fitting was pioneered at Wheelworks in the early 1980's by frame builder, Peter Mooney, and cycling legend, John Allis. The tradition continues today with a staff of twelve fitters with over 7,500 fittings conducted over the last five years. What separates Belmont Wheelworks from other retailers is the specific pairing of fitter to client. Triathlon and high-end specialty fittings are reserved for only the most senior fitters on the staff. Ed Sassler, Sean Brennan & Sam Wheeler have combined for more than thirty-five years of fitting experience and have been trained by some of the best minds in the industry. Their expertise and experience gives them the ability to put the rider on the perfect bike and in the optimal position. Please feel free to call Belmont Wheelworks at 617.489.3577 if you would like to schedule a fitting or if you have any questions. Wheelworks has been an integral part of the greater Boston cycling community since 1977 - providing the best products and service to cyclists of all levels. With two locations in Waverley Square, Belmont and one near Davis Square, Somerville, the selection of bicycles and cycling related products is second to none. When you visit one of our stores you'll see both antique and cutting edge bicycles side by side - bringing together the past and future of cycling. You'll find bicycles for kids, commuters, recreational riders, tourists, fitness riders and professional competitors and everything in between.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
