Beals has worked closely with STAC Performance Virtual Wind Tunnel over the past two years to optimize his position and equipment. In the lead up to IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant, he brought his pads 2cm narrower and 1cm further forward. The testing also led him to switch to a Louis Garneau P-09 helmet from the Giro Aerohead based on his position with each.
