General Information

Course Info: Located just on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. this race takes place at a great venue and is so easy to get to. Now moved to May to take advantage of the early season open water swim availability. The park is named after Maryland?s fourth governor and the highest ranking Marylander to serve in the Revolutionary War, General Smallwood State Park is ideally situated for a triathlon. The swim takes place in the pristine Mattawoman Bay, known across the Nation as a top spot for bass fishing. After a run to the transition area, athletes will race along 24 miles of rolling hills where most of the traffic is just your fellow triathletes! Once you?ve laced up your running shoes, you?ll head back to the road for a scenic 10K with aid stations every mile. Run past the restored house named Smallwood?s Retreat towards the finish and you will understand why the General made this area his ?Headquarters?!
This event features a Tri-Blend Crew Style T-shirts, Custom Race Socks, Finisher?s Medals, Professional DJ, Bounce House and a post race meal.
Aquabike and Relays are options during registration.

Please, no swimming at the race site prior to the actual race. This area is generally not set up for swimming and is a very active marina with numerous fishing boats.

-This event allows a one time deferral of your registration to the following years event. Athletes can do this through their profile by paying a $20 deferral fee up until the Tuesday prior to the event. Sorry, but refunds are not allowed for this, or any Kinetic Multisports event.
