Rolling swim start.

Run:
From the transition area participants will run north (left) on the Park City Rail Trail (hard packed dirt trail). The trail parallels Hwy 32 and is completely separated from vehicle traffic. Sprint athletes will turn around just before the Echo Resort North Beach. Olympic athletes will continue to the end of the Rail Trail. Both events are out-and-back courses, returning on the trail to Echo Resort for your finish.
More: Perfectly measured sprint and olympic courses.
The transition area is located on a gravel lot and won?t feel great on your bare feet. We highly recommend dropping your sandals or shoes near the exit of the swim to make that jaunt to your bike less painful. We know by experience that it will take you less time to put on sandals than to pick rocks out of your feet before heading out on the bike.
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
