General Information
Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Not specified whether registration/convenience fees are added. Course Info: The swim course will take place at the Foothills Aquatic Centre. This is a 25m pool with 6 lanes. We will start 4 athletes per lane and you will complete the necessary lengths of the pool. Volunteers will be on hand to count your laps and will put a flutterboard in the water when you have 2 lengths remaining. Athletes are asked that if they are feeling any trouble or difficulty during the swim portion to raise their hand and a lifeguard will be there to assist right away. We would like to thank the staff at the Foothills Pool for their support of this event.
The bike course will travel around a 4.5km loop within the University of Calgary campus. We will have a portion of the road blocked off for this event, but please ensure that you watch for vehicle traffic and other athletes. Vehicles will always have the right of way at intersections, and we will have volunteers to stop traffic when athletes are approaching.
Remember to have fun on the course, and keep safety at the utmost priority.
The run course will travel from the transition area and consists of 1km course laps with an aid station available to replenish your fluids. You will be responsible to count your own laps on this run course, as we will not provide lap counters. There will be an aid station outside of the transition area with sport drink and water, as well as another aid station stocked similarly (so please come prepared if you are training on a different sports drink/food). Please be sure you drink lots of fluids on the bike course, as well as take advantage of the two aid stations on the run course for each lap. The weather can be unpredictable so please dress appropriately.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
