General Information

Course Info: Begin your clockwise course at Sky Lodge with Run 1 heading South on Route 201, the Old Canada Scenic Byway, through Moose River toward Jackman. Swim 1 is in the Moose River with the current, getting out at the Jackman airport. Run 2 takes you back through downtown Jackman to the public beach. Swim 2 across Big Wood Pond to Hog Island. Respect private property as you make your way through thick forests on Hog Island for Run 3. Swim 3 crosses to the West side of Big Wood Pond. Run 4 is on a rugged snowmobile trail and logging roads. Swim 4 curves through Little Big Wood Pond to a public boat ramp exit and you're back on a rolling fire road and ATV trail for Run 5. Rancourt Pond is your final Swim 5, and then you're on the local trail club trails and Route 201 for the long run with a fast downhill to the finish line at Sky Lodge.

More: 1.The course traverses public and private land in and around Jackman, Moose River, and Dennistown, Maine. Participants are required to follow the prescribed route and any deviation will be grounds for disqualification.

2.Team participants must complete the course in teams of two, racing at the same time. Teammates must be within 10 yards of one another on the swims and 100 yards of each other on the runs. Use of a tether required.

3.Any participant who encounters any other participant in need of aid must stop and provide aid. This is the spirit of swimrun. Failure to do so will be grounds for disqualification

5. The top finishing team in each long course team category (Mixed/Female/Male) will receive free entry to the SwimRun National Championship.

Bangor International Airport is 123 miles (2.5 hours) from Sky Lodge

Driving Directions:
From the East via Moosehead Lake area: West on ME-6. Right on US 201. Continue on 201 to Moose River. Sky Lodge is on the right.

From the North, via Quebec City, Quebec, Canada: South on A-73 to Saint-Georges. Right on QC-204 O. Bear left on QC-173 S. At the US/CANADA border, continue on US-201 S to Moose River. Sky Lodge is on the left.

From the South, via Bangor: South on I-95 to exit 157 for US-2. Right onto ME-100/ME-11 forward Skowhegan. Left on Bahns Rd. Left on US-2 W. In Skowhegan, right onto US-201. Continue on 201 to Moose River. Sky Lodge is on the right.

From the South, via Augusta: North on I-95 to exit 133 for US-201. Right on US 201. Continue on 201 to Moose River. Sky Lodge is on the right.
