Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Not specified whether registration/convenience fees are added. Course Info: This is the all time classic off-road triathlon course. Racers start with a 1500 meter swim from a sandy beach in Lake Tahoe, one of the purest and deepest lakes in North America.
The bike section test racers? skill and fitness levels. The bike starts up tunnel creek, a somewhat sandy gradual climb. Racers pop out from Tunnel Creek onto the area?s epic Flume Trail, which skirts the mountainside overlooking Lake Tahoe. Riders continue on past Marlette Lake and down a somewhat rocky and fast Tahoe Rim Trail. The views are breathtaking! The full course, Sprint, Duathlon and Aquabike complete the 22 mile bike with approximately 4000 feet of climbing. The running course is a 5K lap featuring a relatively flat scenic course winding through aspens, pines with a few creek crossing
