Course Info: The Sea to Summit is not your traditional triathlon. This is an amazing day -- combining the core elements of triathlon with the challenges of an adventure race. The largely self-supported event consists of a 1.5 mile swim, a 92-96 bike ride (depending on course variations) and a strenuous 5.5 mile run/climb up the highest mountain in the Northeast U.S. The 2023 race starts at 5:15 am on Saturday, July 22 on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean at Kennebunkport, Maine, and ends 1.5 miles above sea level atop Mt. Washington in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. You'll be ready for the traditional post-race turkey dinner.
More: A distinctive finisher award is given to all the athletes who make it to the summit under the 11:15-hour allotted time. Also, the top three male athletes and the top three female athletes will receive awards. First place male and female age group winners will also be awarded. Age groups: 29 and under; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-plus ? both male and female.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
