Earlier this year in June Frodeno crashed hard during a training ride and folks were worried about his season, but the man known by many as Frodo recovered fast and then returned in early July to grab the IRONMAN European Championships title in Frankfurt.

On September 2nd after a tight battle with Alistair Brownlee and Javier Gomez at the 2018 70.3 World Championships he again came out on top and was thus considered a likely favorite to take the 2018 title in Kona. But we will all have to wait another year to see that happen.
